Customer Relations
SPI Executive Services Coordinator and Customer Relations Manager Minerva Lopez assists the public by directing their concerns to the appropriate department for resolution, and also provides administrative support to the City Manager, Mayor, and Board of Aldermen.

Finance
Finance Department Director Larry Homan is responsible for working with the City Manager to ensure the proper and prudent management of the Town’s financial matters and investment of funds. He oversees daily financial activities and preparation of financial reports and documents pertaining to all Town business.

Fire
The primary goals of the Fire Department and Chief Burney Baskett are to provide 24-7 fire prevention/protection services for citizens and provide first re-sponder services for emergency medical calls. The Fire Department continually works to enhance the working relationship with citizens and visitors.

Police
The South Padre Island Police Department and Chief Robert Rodriguez provide protection and service to the community. Major goals of the Department are to reduce crime through pre-vention, detection, and apprehension; provide for the orderly and safe movement of vehicular traffic through traffic law enforcement, accident prevention and accident investigation; and ensure public safety through regulation and control of hazardous conditions; the recovery and return of lost and stolen property; and to provide non-enforcement services through programs reflect-ing community needs and desires.
